The PositionFinance Reporting Officer – Junior to Senior (H/F)
 
Our clientOur client is an international Anglo-Saxon insurance company newly established in Luxembourg.
 
Your roleStatutory Reporting:
• Prepare financial reporting (including financial statements and other board reports) and schedules to support analysis and disclosures.
• Assist in the development of new internal and external financial reports.
• Document processes and procedures to support the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Perform various balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist the Finance Manager in the relationship with the audit to satisfy statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and file a variety of other reporting requirements (e.g. National Statistics, branch reporting).
• Work alongside the Finance department in the UK and the US to ensure existing data is used consistently and efficiently.
• Review current processes, identify potential improvements and ensure all procedures are documented.

Tax Compliance:
• Assist in the review of income tax returns and tax payment instalments, as appropriate.
• Build good relationships with Tax Authorities, external tax advisers and the company’s tax departments.

Other accountabilities:
• Support Global and Financial initiatives and projects (e.g. GFP financial system project).
• Support local business departments and gain a good understanding of operations.
 
Your Technical Skills• University degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline with a minimum of at least one-year experience in finance-based roles.
• Excellent knowledge of the Luxembourg insurance sector and reporting requirements.
• Ability to review, interpret and apply technical requirements.
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Excel and Word).
• Perfectly fluent in English and French.
• Part/Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent will be considered as an advantage.
