The PositionSenior Risk Manager
Our clientOur client is a great international Bank based in Luxembourg.
Your roleManaged by the Country Chief Risk Officer, your role will be to maximise the effectiveness of risk management measures.

Support the Country CRO by acting as a partner to the businesses, supporting growth, profitability, return on capital and sustainability aspirations while retaining the appropriate risk management discipline to achieve strategic goals.
Provide lead risk management input on all risk matters pertaining to the jurisdiction other than compliance, including Credit Risk, Fiduciary Risk, Reputational Risk, Fraud Risk, Information Security Risk, Political Risk, Contingency Risk
Together with the CRO, establish and maintain the country Risk Appetite framework, Stress Testing activities (regulatory and business as usual) and Economic Capital framework.
Support activity through the establishment and maintenance of standard guidelines and best practice within the Country relating to risk management.
Contribute to the establishment of a strong governance model.
To oversee that operational processes are operating and that a robust internal control environment is in place throughout the Country, commensurate with the volume/scale of operations.
To protect the good reputation of our client and to comply with all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations and standards of good market practice and maintain highest standard of conduct at all times.
Your Technical Skills At least 5 years of experience in risk management. University-level qualifications in Banking or Audit would be an advantage.
Banking experience with an understanding of banking activities, products, processes and systems.
An understanding of other areas of risk e.g. credit, market.
Knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector.
Exposure to an operation and a control environment, such as audit or compliance preferred.
Able to conceptualize the operational impact of business change.
Your Personal Skills Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
Ability to understand complex concepts.
Understanding of modelling techniques and analytics in respect of Operational Risk.
Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel.
Fluency in English required, French and/or another European language desired.
